About Me

I had grown up watching my father make beautiful charcoal portraits of many famous faces. I was always in awe of his portraits, secretly wishing that his talent had been passed on to me.

The first time I picked up a pencil with the intention to draw was at the age of seven. With trembling hands, I started to sketch a landscape. With my father encouraging me, the pencil sketches slowly transitioned to water colours. I then boldened up to participating in school competitions, always walking away with an award.

Everything was a breeze until then, but, life happened! Once I completed my education I took up a job in the mechanical industry, my art took a backseat.

After toiling away for 25 years, I decided that I need to get back to something that is so innate to me – my art.Since then, I have completed a course in one of the most esteemed Art colleges in the country – Chitra Kala Parishat and now run an art school of my own. Teaching kids and adults, I finally feel that I am now truly in touch with myself.
